VILVA Helps Digital Energy Client Build UPS Smart Manufacturing Line in India Sep 16, 2026

As demand for stable power supply continues to rise across data centers, industrial automation, telecommunications and other critical infrastructure sectors, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), as key equipment to guarantee power continuity, delivers product performance and factory quality that directly affect the stable operation of end-user power consumption systems.

For UPS manufacturers, how to systematically verify product functions, performance and reliability while maintaining production efficiency has become an important part of smart manufacturing upgrading.

UPS, or Uninterruptible Power Supply, serves as core power protection equipment. It is widely deployed in data centers, industrial automation, medical equipment, security monitoring and other scenarios. When mains power fails, it delivers stable and continuous power to avoid risks such as business interruption, hardware damage and data loss.

Requirement 1: Targeted at the UPS production scenario for digital energy enterprises, the solution mainly focuses on 30kVA Uninterruptible Power Supplies, and supports production line planning for products below 30kVA, with a target capacity of 20–30 units per hour.

In response to practical production requirements, VILVA delivers an overall plan for the UPS production and testing process. The product manufacturing workflow is divided into multiple key zones:

Raw material intake → Product assembly → Pre-burn-in ATE test → In-line ambient temperature burn-in → Post-burn-in ATE test → Cleaning & inspection → Packaging and warehousing.

Through the integrated production line layout, UPS units can enter standardized testing procedures immediately after assembly. This setup eliminates the drawbacks of traditional production models, such as manual handling, repeated wiring, and scattered testing stages.

Product Assembly Zone — Building a Standardized Production Foundation
Products first enter the assembly zone, where 8 product assembly workstations complete the full UPS unit assembly.

Pre-Burn-in ATE Test Zone — The First Performance Verification After Product Goes On-Line
After assembly, UPS units enter the pre-burn-in ATE testing stage. The project is equipped with 2 ATE test stations. Using VILVA's VATE UPS test system, automated functional and performance tests are conducted on each product.

In-Line Ambient Temperature Burn-in Zone — Verifying Long-Term Operational Reliability
After passing the pre-burn-in ATE test, qualified products enter the in-line burn-in zone. This project is configured with 20 in-line ambient temperature burn-in channels, meeting the production demand for simultaneous burn-in of multiple UPS units.

Post-Burn-in ATE Test Zone — Forming a Complete Closed-Loop Testing Process
After burn-in, UPS units do not go directly to packaging. Instead, they re-enter the ATE testing stage. The project is equipped with 2 post-burn-in ATE test workstations, conducting a second round of functional and performance verification on UPS units that have undergone burn-in operation.
